Seven years on the road. We’ve learned a lot the hard way. Here are 15 RV opinions I’m not backing down on:
1. You don’t need the biggest rig.
Bigger just means harder to park and more to maintain.
2. Move days are never “quick.”
If you think it’ll take an hour, block three.
3. You need less stuff than you think.
Empty space isn't and invitation to fill it.
4. Community is the best part of RV life.
Campfires beat square footage.
5. RV life won’t fix your marriage.
It magnifies it.
6. Homeschooling on the road is easier than people think.
The world becomes your curriculum.
7. You don’t have to see all 50 states to do it right.
Slow travel wins.
8. Boondocking teaches you more than resorts ever will.
You actually learn your systems.
9. You will miss having a house sometimes.
And that’s okay.
10. Every RVer should know how their rig works.
You’re one rainstorm away from panic if you don’t.
11. It’s not cheaper by default.
It’s intentional… or it’s expensive.
12. You don’t need to constantly be on vacation.
Real life still happens on the road.
13. The layout matters more than the brand name.
You live in the floor plan, not the logo.
14. Comparison ruins RV life faster than breakdowns do.
Stay in your lane.
15. Burnout is real.
Adjust your pace. The beauty of this lifestyle is the flexibility.
What hill would you die on?
Or which one did I get wrong?

Everyone is talking about the butterfly effect.
What if Justin wasn’t made redundant in 2015 and we hadn’t decided to put the redundancy payout towards a caravan. He would still be in mining and I would be working as a nurse.
We have had so many seemingly insignificant events over the last nearly 10 years, which has cascaded into where we are today.
Would LOVE to know your butterfly effect!?
We sold the house, quit our 9-5 office jobs, started roadschooling our kids, moved into an RV, and started living a life of adventure! We have absolutely no regrets! Could you quit the “norm” and live in an RV full-time?

They said not to homeschool our kids on a bus.
We listened. Then we hit the road.
Contrary to popular belief, our kids aren’t missing out.
They’re learning geography by crossing state lines.
Math by budgeting fuel and groceries.
History by standing where it actually happened.
Social skills by talking to people of every age, everywhere we go.
We traded rigid schedules for real life.
Classrooms for curiosity.
Busy calendars for deep connection.
This bus is our home.
The world is our curriculum.
And childhood doesn’t need four walls to be full.
If you believe kids learn best by living…
• school bus conversions
• full-time family travel
• roadschooling + homeschooling
• experiences over stuff
You’re in the right place.
Follow along as we raise our kids
with full hearts, curious minds,
and one wild mile at a time.

That discomfort you feel isn't failure...
It's just what it feels like to do something that doesn't have a template yet.
We are a full-time RV family raising kids outside the traditional school system, and if you've ever felt that gut punch when someone asks a question your kid can't answer the "normal" way, we get it.
Homeschool doesn't come with a roadmap. The doubt you feel isn't a sign you're doing it wrong. It's a sign you care enough to do it differently.
Share this for all the other homeschool mamas doing their best.

Never would I ever....
Think I'd be the person that said they enjoyed homeschooling.... especially living in a bus.
Yet here we are, camping on a beach in Mexico, school was done early and we're already on the beach playing.
Yup....I think the trade off was worth it.
Could you homeschool?

Myth: RVlife means kids will miss out⬇️
But this stop reminded us they’re gaining something pretty special: real-life learning, friendships from all over, confidence, and memories we never could have planned.

Introduce yourself! 👋
We are a faith first, family always team. I’m raising 8 little travelers with my best friend, JD, while roadschooling — teaching a love of learning from the road/world. A couple of entrepreneurs, running miles, exploring God’s creation, and sharing everything we discover with you. 🚌✨
Where did you discover us?? * And if we’ve met in person, where did we meet?

DON'T QUIT: JUST DO IT! 🙌
Seems like a pretty simple reminder but I needed to see this little template today and thought someone else might need to as well.
We can do hard things and sometimes the hardest things we do in life are the ones most worth doing!
I truly feel this in my heart about homeschool. I know now in my life that I was meant to homeschool my babes but with that said I want to be real for anyone else reading this maybe feeling the same way. IT'S FREAKING HARD! LOL! We are raising 2 very strong willed, independent thinkers who challenge us at every stage. We want that, we love that but SHIT it can be exhausting!🤣🤣🤣
A lot of accounts post only highlights, never admitting when things are tough. This can sometimes leave the rest of us questioning, "what the heck am I doing wrong?" NOTHING! We have to remember, social media is different from real life and most of those posting about how smooth and perfect life is with homeschool, skin care, healthy living, perfectly behaved children, etc. are usually trying to sell you something!
I love the fact that people can make a living on these apps and fully support those doing so but I just wanted to be a REAL REMINDER TODAY that not everything is what you see! SO DON'T QUIT, KEEP ON KEEPING ON! I SEE YOU!

One last RV trip with the family - even if the kids are back to school! Head over to the link in our bio for the best tips on how to make it happen.🚐✏️
They won’t realise it now… but one day they’ll look back and see how epic their childhood really was ✨
Travel teaches them more than any classroom ever could — resilience, curiosity, independence.
Grateful we can continue to give them a life of Aussie travels.
We’re not just ticking places off… We’re raising kids who’ve felt freedom, and who know how big and beautiful this country really is.🚐💨
