One unique dog friendly activity is Uphill access. 🏔️⛷️🎿🏂Hoomans can uphill 4am to 8pm but pups can uphill from 4am-7am or 5pm-8pm. We got our uphill bands and we wanted some day light so we elected for 5pm. They had a good map online. We started off at the base of Valley Way, which was a green/easy course up. There were certainly flat trails that you can go but we liked the uphill experience. We agreed that snowshoe would be the most safe for the dogs, instead of using climbing ski skins. While the dogs would have liked the downhills sniffs, we elected for snowshoeing and they were romping downhill, having a good time. To save some little dog energy, we backpacked up before they came down on a leash. We saw a couple of squirrels! 🐿️ We had a great time, thanks @winterparkresort
One of Cleo’s favorite adventures is a trip to Tanner Dog Park in Salt Lake. 🐾
One of the best parts about living along the Wasatch Front is how quickly you can change scenery. In just a short drive you can go from Herriman to Salt Lake City, mountain trails, dog parks, lakes, and new neighborhoods to explore.
Herriman to Salt Lake? About 30 minutes, and suddenly Cleo’s running through one of the best off-leash dog parks around. It’s one of the many reasons the lifestyle here is so special.
What’s your favorite dog park on the Wasatch Front? 🐶🌄
Morning pickleball, afternoon dog walks with views like this…
kids outside playing sports, hiking, biking…
this is just everyday life in Park City.
Perfect balance for dog families @winterparkresort 🐶🎿 Hoomans skied with Early access at 830am (instead of usual 9am) and came back around lunch. In the morning we walked by the hotel and by noon, we were walking in the village. Plenty of grass, mulch for doggie business. Sometimes we would go back for afternoon skiing (most lifts stopped at 4pm) and sometimes we spent with the doggos. We did not visit the town of Winter Park that's couple miles away--next time! We loved the snow on the ground, snow capped mt, snow everything!
We cant remember a March where we had dry dirt to Lupe's Loma. Its been so strange this season. So grateful for our amazing guests who joined us today!

This girl is in love with snowy hikes.🐾 ❄️
My humans liked this hike for the views at the top, which I enjoyed, but I was mostly focused on spending a day in the snow.
The trail started with a steady climb through the woods, which meant there was no chance of me getting overheated. Then it opened up to wide mountain views. The trail continued to make a loop, which we planned to do, but with unbroken trail ahead, I decided to lay down for a little snow snooze and called that the end.
We’re already planning to come back and see how this place looks in other seasons! 🌸☀️🍂

One of the questions I get a lot is: what is the best neighborhood in Salt Lake for people who love being outside?
The honest answer is that there are a lot of great options. One of the things that makes Salt Lake unique is how close almost every neighborhood is to trails, canyons, and open space.
That said, my personal favorite is the east Millcreek / east Holladay area.
Millcreek Canyon is one of my go-to spots for hiking with Goldie. If you have a dog, the odd-numbered days are off leash, which makes it a really special place to get out together. There is also a huge variety of trails. Some are shaded and mellow, others are steeper and more of a workout. You can choose a quick walk or a longer hike depending on the day.
Another big advantage is how easy it is to access. You can be on the trail just minutes after getting off I-215. The close access to I-215 also makes it quick to get to the University, downtown, Sugarhouse, Park City, and plenty of shopping and daily amenities.
1. Don’t go from 0 → mountain legend
Your body (and your dog) need a warm-up.
A few minutes now = way less soreness later.
2. Downhill is where the damage happens
Control the chaos.
Shorter steps, slower pace, fewer “why am I sore?” moments tomorrow.#movebettertogether #healthylivingwithyourdog #dogsofinstagram #parkcitydogs #parkcity
Season’s wrapping up. Local dogs aren’t.

This one of our favorite parks to go to! This is right by Canyon Rim and has so much off leash space with a great little trail that takes you down to the creek!

Is this the most underrated dog-friendly hike in Colorado Springs? 🐾
Ute Valley Trail surprised me with wide open views, easy terrain, and plenty of space for pups to explore. If you’re looking for a quick escape into nature without leaving town, this one’s a gem 🌄🐕
