This is one of the most impressive interviews I've ever experienced in my life." #Nardwuar #Pharrellwilliams #Nerd #Nard #Rumpshaker

🎶✨ “The first time I saw Teddy Riley in the studio, I knew — he’s the Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James all in one.” – Demetrius Shipp Demetrius Shipp got a front-row seat to greatness while working briefly at Future Records Studio with Teddy Riley, where they co-produced two tracks on Bobby Brown’s Bobby album: “Till The End of Time” and “That’s The Way Love Is.” 🔥 From rocking with Doug E. Fresh, to crafting timeless hits like Michael Jackson’s “Remember The Time,” Blackstreet’s “No Diggity,” Guy’s “Groove Me,” and Wreckx-N-Effect’s “Rump Shaker,” Teddy Riley’s fingerprints are all over music history. 🏆 A true architect of sound. Throwing it back to the golden era of 90s hip hop and R&B where every record had energy, attitude, and a hook the entire crowd knew word for word. This mix taps into the sound that defined house parties, radio countdowns, and packed dance floors across the 1990s. From the legendary call and response energy of DJ Kool to the smooth West Coast party anthem that made Montell Jordan a household name, every track in this blend captures a moment when hip hop and R&B were shaping pop culture worldwide. These records helped define the sound of the decade. DJ Kool’s classic club starter Let Me Clear My Throat became one of the most recognizable party records ever pressed in 1996. Montell Jordan followed with This Is How We Do It, a platinum selling anthem that blended R&B melodies with hip hop bounce and became one of the biggest songs of the year. Bell Biv DeVoe’s Poison pushed the New Jack Swing movement forward in 1990 with a beat that still hits just as hard today, while Kris Kross made history in 1992 when Jump spent weeks at number one and turned two teenagers into global stars. Wreckx N Effect added to the era’s dance floor dominance with Rump Shaker, a track produced by Teddy Riley that remains a staple in throwback hip hop mixes. If you love classic hip hop, 90s R&B, and timeless party records that still move crowds decades later, this mix is built for you. Turn it up, run it back, and let the nostalgia hit. Tracklist DJ Kool - Let Me Clear My Throat Montell Jordan - This Is How We Do It Bell Biv DeVoe - Poison Kris Kross - Jump Wreckx-N-Effect - Rump Shaker
