Cait Oakley was breastfeeding her infant daughter when she saw an eagle attacking her family’s beloved goose and had to act fast to stop it.
The Vancouver Island mom went viral on social media after her husband posted a video of the attack — gathering more than a million views on TikTok.
"This is mom life," said Oakley of her maternal multitasking.
Oakley, a stay-at-home mom of three, was nursing her baby girl when her goose Frankie came to the front door screaming around 6:30 p.m. Monday.
The incident, which was captured on their home security camera shows the eagle grabbing Frankie and dragging her a few metres.
Half-dressed and holding her daughter, Oakley ran at the bird, which let go of Frankie and flew away.
"It's just that fight-or-flight response," she said after saving the goose, who she considers being her “fourth child."
