What is the state government thinking?! 😵💫
Alexandra Parade is already a huge heat trap. The only reason it’s not worse is this greenery. 🌱🌿🌳
Trees > Cars
Especially in a climate and oil crisis.

POP QUIZ! 🍿 Did you get it right?
🌳 Twenty. Seven. Thousand. Trees. 🌳⠀
⠀
And, if that weren't bad enough, it takes 37 gallons of water to make one roll of toilet paper... so, we're also wasting around a million gallons of water.
(scientific american)
⠀
/ HERE'S WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT /⠀⠀
⠀
1. opt for a bidet attachment which has been one of my favorite zero-waste swaps!
⠀
2. opt for tree-free or tp made from 100% recycled material.
⠀
3. family cloth - now I haven't been brave enough to venture into this, and not sure I ever will, but it's reusable toilet paper that you wash... would you ever try it? ⠀

Mengagumkan hingga akhir.

Less than 1% is what is currently left of the original giant daisy tree forest on Isabela Island. Find out how our team of restoration ecologists, led by Heinke Jäger, is working to save the endangered 𝙎𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙖 𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙖 from extinction, and why this species is so important for the Galapagos ecosystem. 🌳

For the past four years I’ve been visiting the Grandfather Tree, doing my best to soak up some wisdom from the wisest old man I know… though he mostly just stands there looking majestic.
It’s a good reminder of why we need to protect & appreciate our trees as they give us healthy air, shade, beauty, & maybe, if we’re patient enough, a little bit of quiet wisdom too. 🌲

I miss the 🌲trees - all these courses taking trees out and “restoring the course” - leave um alone❗️

Recovering this windfall cherry tree wasn’t easy but it was worth it! The property owner was quoted thousands of dollars to have it removed and it would have been reduced to waste and discarded. With a little elbow grease, the tree will now start its second life! 🍒

How does our tree planting work, you ask? 🌳
When we went to see our partners @symagine_solutions in India at the beginning of the year, we took some of your questions with us and gave them directly to the women working in the field.
Part 1: what kind of trees do we plant in this project? 🥭🍊
