Calling all snail mail lovers and postcrossers! We are hosting a letter writing event this Sunday, May 18th from 11-1 at the shop. Our goal, Save the USPS! 💌✉️📮📬🖊️ The United States Postal Service is facing significant funding cuts and is implementing measures to reduce costs, including job reductions and potential service changes. The USPS delivers correspondence, prescriptions, check, absentee and mail-in ballots, and packages to every single residence and business in the US. The USPS employs over 600,000 people. Those employed by the Post Office are essential workers. Eliminating the USPS cuts off vital delivers and communication. How can we help? Send mail!! This Sunday we will try to send as much mail as possible! Thank you to The Portland Stamp Company for providing us with this above verbiage and the gorgeous decorative stamps that we brought in for this event. We will also have information sheets from The Portland Stamp Company explaining the issues and 4 ways to take action, which includes a text petition and how to call your representatives. See you all Sunday! #goodpostage #theportlandstampcompany #snailmail #Charlottenc #savetheusps #letterwriting #sendcardsspreadlove #postcrossing #letterwritingcampaign
