I save at least $1,000/ month doing these 20 things 👇
1. Canceled forgotten subscriptions - one audit returned $200/month I didn’t notice
2. Renegotiated internet, insurance & phone. One call each saved $150/month
3. Switched to a rewards credit card. Points now cover flights & hotels
4. “Use it up” month every quarter - no new products until everything’s finished
5. “No-spend weekends” twice a month. Free hikes, movie nights, backyard dinners
6. 72-hour rule on anything over $50 that’s not a necessity. We almost never end up buying it
7. Automated savings transfer right after payday. You stop missing what you never had
8. free audiobook library instead of buying books
9. All errands in one day. Less gas, less time, fewer impulse buys
10. Price-match everything - Honey, Google Shopping, Amazon. Takes 60 seconds
11. Portion bulk snacks instead of buying individual packs. Saves more than you’d think
12. Free trial a streaming service for a show, then cancel. Haven’t paid full price in years
13. Buy clothes end of season at 50-70% off
14. Turned off one-click purchasing
15. Monthly pantry challenge - cook only from what’s in the house for one week
16. DIY’d basic car maintenance & simple repairs. YouTube is everything
17. Stopped paying convenience fees - ATM, same-day delivery, ticket surcharges
18. Monthly money date to review spending. Awareness beats any budget app
19. Always grocery shop with a list
20. Sell things I no longer want need or love for cash so I can buy what I want

If you thought I stopped saving because I stopped posting… BABY, NO. 😂
The videos may have been delayed, but the money has been moving the entire time. 💰
This is the part you don’t always see behind the savings challenges.
I’m working two jobs, sometimes putting in close to 40 hours at my second job, raising three children, creating content, handling life, and somehow trying to keep everything else together. 😮💨
And let me tell you… working a whole second job and knowing that paycheck is going STRAIGHT to savings without being able to touch it? Whew. 😭
But I’m doing it because I know what I’m working toward.
So here’s the real update: July + August income from my second job, plus the income I’ve earned from monetizing my content.
And yes, I know some of you have been waiting for these updates. Some of y’all have been incredibly patient and given me so much grace, and I genuinely appreciate you. ❤️
I’ve also seen the comments from the people wondering where the videos are—and I hear you too.
I’m not going to make big promises about posting every single day because… life has already shown me how that goes. 😂
But my goal is to give you at least one savings video every week, even if that’s all I can manage.
Because right now, I’m working seven days a week and trying to squeeze 4–5 videos into that same week.
Logistically? It’s A LOT.
But the goal hasn’t changed.
The videos may be late.
The updates may be late.
But the savings? RIGHT ON TIME. 💰💪🏽
And if you want to support me without spending a single dollar, watch the videos all the way through, like, comment, share, and interact with them.
That support actually helps me keep creating. 🫶🏽
Thank you for being here, for following the journey, and for giving me grace while I figure out how to do ALL the things.
Now… let’s see what all this hard work has added up to. 👀💰

🚨Here are the Top 3 Mistakes I see people make when cash stuffing ‼️
1.) Starting with way too many challenges / envelopes.
2.) Not aligning your challenges / envelopes with your real life expenses.
3.) Letting your cash just sit
Cash stuffing isn’t just about saving… it’s about being intentional and strategic with every single dollar.
So if you’ve tried this before and felt frustrated, take a step back and really ask yourself—what am I trying to accomplish? Is it paying off debt? Getting ahead on bills? Building a solid savings?
Start small, stay focused, and only add more when you know you have the capacity to stay consistent.

Nine realistic ways I save money in Australia:
1. I shop around for car insurance, health insurance, and house insurance every year to make sure that I’m getting the best deal. I’ve saved thousands of dollars over the years by doing this.
2. I check electricity providers on the energymadeeasy.gov.au website each year, to make sure I’m on the best deal. This one is the Australian Government website and all energy providers must be listed on there, compared to other ones which are buy in websites.
3. I only have one subscription TV subscription at a time.
4. I cook my lunches and dinners at home with the odd take away lunch or dinner and I batch food prep in advance to save me from ordering take away when I can’t be bothered cooking.
5. I keep my phone and my car long after they are paid off instead of upgrading to the latest model.
6. I turn lights off in rooms that I’m not in and I prefer minimal, low light at night as part of my wind down routine. I’m not a tight a*se when it comes to putting the heater or air conditioner on. Comfort is important! But I don’t use electricity unnecessarily.
7. I make the most of free and low cost activities to do on weekends.
8. I save fancy restaurants, cafe brunch and ticketed events, for a special occasion instead of making it an every week kind of thing.
9. I pay myself first. As soon as I get paid, I transfer my money into all of my different accounts, including my savings accounts, and then I spend what’s left. I actually enjoy this process because I love seeing my savings grow, even if it’s only by a small amount each week.
Which ones have I missed that help you save money?
