The Jerry Garcia Band performing "I Shall Be Released" I'm really hoping this one can stay up. Before I ever went to college and got introduced to Jerry Garcia's work in The Grateful Dead, I was an angsty young adult obsessed with a band called "Coheed and Cambria". I got a DVD set of their "Neverender" series of concerts, the fourth and final DVD featuring a few encores. One of them had a man named Warren Haynes join the band on-stage where guitarist Travis Stever and Haynes sang "I Shall Be Released". Oddly enough, I never really went back to the song but it always stuck with me. I can't tell if it's hauntingly beautiful composition, the truly peaceful nature of the instrumental, or the way the lyrics are sung in such a heavenly manner. But every aspect of this song is relieving, refreshing and relaxing. I find it to be a true crowning musical achievement, and I'm glad Jerry was recorded bringing it to life on stage. It's a beautiful day to be blue Original uploader: bigbeahner Original vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFiIJ4vW2IU&list=RDfFiIJ4vW2IU&start_radio=1 #jerrygarcia #thejerrygarciaband #ishallbereleased #music #bluesmusic #blues #rock #rockmusic #pyschedelic #live #livemusic #liveperformance #bluesevolution
