Morning Dedication: Vonya’s Inspiring Drive This morning, we had the absolute pleasure of working with Vonya, a young setter who radiates kindness, determination, and a genuine love for the game. Even with a school exam just hours away, she chose to dedicate her morning to training and improving her skills. That kind of commitment and discipline is something truly special. We introduced jump setting during our session and discussed the advanced offensive skills she’ll need to develop to become a setter who can change the game. Watching her embrace these challenges with an open mind and a willingness to learn was a reminder of why I love coaching. Vonya is not just an athlete; she’s the kind of person who inspires those around her with her humility, kindness, and drive. Balancing academic achievements with her growth on the court shows a level of maturity and dedication that I deeply respect. Players like Vonya remind us that success comes from both hard work and heart. Keep chasing your dreams, Vonya—the sky is the limit! 🏐✨ . . . #volleyball #volleyballplayer #volleyballskills #volleyballdrills #volleyballislife #volleyballcoach #волейбол

I think @jakobthelle and @joemworsley agree… ☝️ And if you don’t kill the ball, take more approach.

☄️Being a short setter can be hard, but there is a lot you can do to make up for your lack of height! Don’t be discouraged, as some of the best setters in the world are also short! Read Below: 1️⃣- Use your height to your ADVANTAGE! 💪🏼 If you’re shorter, it means you are CLOSER TO THE GROUND, so shorter setters can deal with low passes a lot easier ✅ This means you should aim to get your hands to every single ball, instead of bump setting 2️⃣- Practice defense as much as you can! 🗣️ As a short setter, what you lack in block height you need to make up for in defense. The setter should be the SECOND BEST DEFENDER on the team behind the libero. 3️⃣- Jump setting is your best friend 🫂 Jump setting as a short setter allows you to contact the ball at a higher point, meaning you’re able to speed up the set, as your hands are CLOSER TO THE ATTACK HEIGHT, and the ball has less distance to travel. 4️⃣- Work HARDER than everyone else! 🏋️ This one sounds a bit abstract, but coaches look for who works the hardest in training to decide who they will play in a game. 5️⃣- Lift heavy weights If you’re a shorter volleyball player, you should aim to jump higher than everyone else on your team, so making sure you are training your vertical jump in the gym will help hugely! 🔥 Comment if you want to learn how to train in the gym for volleyball! 💪🏼 #volleyball #haikyu #fitnessreels #setter #short

July 2026. France. 🇫🇷 Three days. A deep dive into the world of setting. This is not a clinic. This is not a course. This is an immersion. For athletes who want to take their game to another level. For coaches who want to develop setters with vision, precision, and identity. What we will live here can’t be found in books and can’t be learned from the outside. Game vision. Decision-making. A real understanding of high-level setting. Those who love setting will understand. Those who live volleyball will feel it. I’m waiting for you so we can live together three intense, deep, unforgettable days. France. July 2026. See you on the court. 🏐🔥 @maison_du_volley Edição: @esporte.maringa
