I love PDF sewing patterns. The fact that I can buy and instantly start my project is amazing! What I don’t love is spending an hour or more cutting and taping paper together when all I want to do is get to the actual sewing part! My favorite hack? An old rotary blade for trimming the pages and a glue stick instead of tape. It’s faster, flatter, and significantly less annoying! Anyway, don't twirl with a heavy laptop bag on your shoulder because physics is a hater 😅. This dress started off as a #zwgathereddress (by Birgitta Helmersson) a couple of years ago but then I fell in love with the Willow dress pattern and had to disassemble the bodice immediately! I really appreciate how zero waste sewing patterns can act as wearable fabric stashes for when you want to make something else: everything is just a bunch of large rectangles ready to be repurposed! I gathered the skirt by hand because I didn't know how to gather by machine yet back then, but looking at the gathers now I think I'll go back to gathering by hand, they look so neat and organized!
