One of my favourite cookbooks, “Simple”, from my favourite chef of all time, Yotam Ottolenghi @ottolenghi 👨‍🍳 “Simple” by Yotam Ottolenghi is a warm, inviting cookbook that brings his signature vibrant flavours into an accessible, everyday kitchen setting. Built around practical ideas - fewer ingredients, shorter cooking times, and straightforward methods - it shows how bold, satisfying dishes don’t have to be complicated. The recipes balance creativity with ease, encouraging confidence and experimentation without overwhelm. It’s an uplifting, approachable collection that makes Ottolenghi’s style feel achievable, proving that delicious, colourful cooking can truly be simple. #cookbooks #yotamottolenghi #ottolenghi #yotamottolenghirecipe #simple
Three years of writing a recipe column has taught me this - Forget complicated, hold the garnish - simple, approachable, familiar recipes always win. Get your first look at my new book, HOME FOOD in this weekend’s @the.australian @theausweekendmag magazine. I sat down with @lizziemeryment to talk about the juggle of book writing, this column (it’s my third year, and over 110 recipes later), building SNP, and, of course, parenting - the hardest job of them all. A huge thank you to Lizzie and @eliza_colman (yes we are a team of Elizabeth’s) for believing in me from the start and giving me such an amazing opportunity - a space every food writer dreams of. Also a shout out to @nik_to for her beautiful photos each week and my co columnist @lennoxhastie. Feeling all the feels this weekend. Pick up a copy to read about the book-making process and get an exclusive peek inside, including six recipes. A little taster to say… yes, you’ll want this book in your kitchen! T-minus 4 days - out Tuesday, I can’t wait to see it in your hands @murdochbooks 📹 @kittigould #homecook #homefood

I’m beyond excited to announce that my new cookbook I’ll Cook: Your go-to for having people round is due out on the 16th April and is available to PRE-ORDER NOW. I firmly believe that having people over to eat should be an easy and fun experience, and that it’s not always about a big fancy dinner which is why chapters in this book include One Pan Bangers (when you can’t be arsed with watching up) Speedy Catchups (for those midweek catch up with your girl - all ready in 30 mins and less), Drinking Snacks (because snacks are bloody great) Summer Lovers and Winter Warmers (so you can make what you’re craving at the time of year). As you guys all loved the sharing feasts in Sundays I am back with five more of those too as well as an extensive Sweet chapter because life is too short not to eat pudding. Like Sundays there are ingredient swaps and ideas for loving your leftovers. What I am most excited about is that most recipes have a Get Ahead tip so you can make things in advance, even freeze ahead to make your life as easy as possible. If this sounds a bit of you then I would be beyond grateful if you could pre-order as for small timers like me it makes a huge difference for book visibility! Ahhhhhhhh it’s coming. I’m hyped. 📸 the queen @scaitboard obvs @murdochbooks_uk

Three from a tiny indie press we love: NOTHING NEW: Considered Cooking, PSYCHOGASTRONOMY, and THE LONG LOAF: Bread for All Days — from Nickel Dinner / @twoplumpress These are not flashy cookbooks. They don’t shout or chase trends. Instead, they are thoughtful, sensory-driven, and slightly stubborn. In a food media landscape that often feels loud and algorithm-shaped, these feel like counterprogramming. NOTHING NEW is @jesper.sjodahl ’s first book — essays, recipes, field notes, kitchen wisdom — the quiet revolution of cooking with intention. Beans, greens, little toasts, wine. The “before and after” kind of book. Malmö to Copenhagen by way of winter lamplight. PSYCHOGASTRONOMY gathers @thomeagle ’s place-letters, blog fragments, annotations — nine years of thinking about taste, memory, preservation. It reads like salt-cured writing: sensory, searching, deeply felt. THE LONG LOAF (a shop favorite) is @andrewdevriesbarton ’s ode to intuitive, naturally leavened bread. Hand-bound, limited run, printed in Portland. Romantic but practical. Bread as daily ritual. Bread as resistance. Available now in the shop and online. Come take one home and rearrange your kitchen brain a little. #nowservingla #indiebookshop #foodwriting
The countdown is really actually officially on. I love this book and its big, beautiful collection of smart recipes so much and I hope you do too! Preorder via link in bio - or send me a DM if you’re local and you can grab a copy from us directly! Thanks for being here ❤️
I added a new book to my collection - “Parm to Table” by Christian Petroni. Stories and food are my jam. I think that’s why I love cookbooks. I get to read about people - why they are the way they are, where they came from, and taste their life through food. Ok maybe that sounds cooky, but I have no idea how else to write that…. If you ever get to meet me in person, you’ll learn I’m so freaking nostalgic, a deep thinker, a connector - I’m an artist…. just not a starving one. I cannot wait to read through this book and learn more about Italian American and American Italian food. And it’s true - my parents owned a sub shop called Submarine City…Home of the Torpedo Sandwich. Have you ever had a Depth Charge?
