The experts 🍏 send an important message: "There will NOT be apple picking at Slide Rock this year. Unfortunately, there are not enough apples! This is typical of an older orchard like ours - years will alternate between bountiful and sparse. Last year was such a record-breaking crop for us, it is not much surprise that we don’t have enough apples this year. The term for this is 'biennial bearing' - the trees used up a lot of resources to make so many blossoms and fruit last year, so this year they needed to rest. Next year ought to be much better!"
