At the core of my existence lives the need to empower women and girls to live free. For 10 years I’ve worked towards this. From @kampkonfidence to @grrrl_clothing - it’s never been easy. Not for 1 day. I hen they said nothing is east, they forgot to mention how hard it would actually be. If you’re a business owner, take this advice: No matter how appealing it might be, never touch a merchant cash advance (MCA). They are predatory “companies” who are banking (quite literally) on you to fail. We’ve made it through some unfathomable business hurdles thanks to my side hustles. One of which will be available in roughly a month. The need to be flexible, creative, dogged, driven, and unshakeable has saved the day- along with having people in my world who truly get/support me. Cannot thank you enough. Our systems are not set-up for common people to succeed/do good in the world. I’ve found a different way and vow to continue to create a world where we see women and girls thrive. All of these young girls who think they’re not enough, will cease to exist, eventually. And maybe then- when our next generation of female leaders are strong, confident and capable, we’ll see significant change in the world. I will continue to figure it out. And now off to get a workout in 💅🏻 Stark contrast from what life used to be. The first thing that used to pop into my head after a night of drinking was “Where’s breakfast? I need a Bloody Mary.” And then the rest of the day would continue very similarly. While this wasn’t every weekend, it was happening frequently enough that I felt like my weekends were being consumed by alcohol, rather than the things that actually mattered. I still love to go out and have fun, but for me, l’ve started to value my mornings waking up after a night of no drinking more than the drinking itself. Sharing my journey with no alcohol does not mean I think less of people that do drink, in fact, I truly could care less what others do. I just know that sometimes no drinking can feel very lonely and I want others to know they’re not alone in their decision and you can still live a very fun and fulfilling life, whether you choose not to drink for a night, a month or years. #soberliving #soberaf #saturdaymornings #healthyliving #personaldevelopment #75hard #iam1stphorm
