A day out visiting art galleries with @nailul_ali 🖼️ First, we went to check out Christian Marclay: ‘Doors’ artwork & film which has no set run time through seamless clips of people opening, entering and walking through doors from 1930s monochrome into/back 1980s Technicolor with scenes/moments of screaming horror into soft seduction, suspense into mundanity, terror into calm.🚪 It felt like it had million of narratives looping bukaktutup pintu scenes till at one point both of us felt like eh bila nak habis ni? Nak kene tengok sampai bila eh? Then that was when we decided ok la jom, but we had a good discussion and reflection lah lepas tu. Like mindblowing ok to come up with that film and to evoke our feelings like the scenes in the film🤯 After that we went to check out the highlight of our day; Patrick Hughes’ The Newest Perspective exhibition. This showcase were awesome & captivating! The mind-bending illusion on the paintings were actually not easy to capture on camera. But I think in this reel you get to see it lah! Oh this time around we kept on questioning our perceptions and how mesmerising the experience were. Last last hanya mampu mengeluh hahah kan @nailul_ali 😂 Anyways it was really great to catchup with you, InshaAllah nanti we plan another art appreciation day soon keh! 😘 FYI, The Newest Perspective has been extended till 29 Sept.
