This is probably the most intimate post I shared on this app. It’s the side of my life you don’t get to see, it’s my first full time job, the hardest one I have. I often wonder why I am not kinder to myself when I think of my role as a dad. I put so much pressure on myself to be as perfect as I can be for them. So on this Father’s Day weekend, this is a little reminder to myself and all of us who are too hard on ourselves: You are enough. And I see you ❤️

Running a law firm + being a single mom to 4 kids = a wild ride. It’s early mornings, late nights, court filings sandwiched between soccer games and school projects… and somehow, we make it work. The secret? Grit, systems, and a lot of grace (plus caffeine—always caffeine). For every mom out there building a business while raising a family: you are unstoppable.

This is the part where I first remind you of all of my unearned privilege—an engaged and cooperative coparent, a flexible work schedule, a committed “bonus dad” who now shares in childcare—the list goes on. Being a solo parent is challenging for many reasons. The feeling of being alone in everything you do is one of them. Now, I'm not trying to make anyone feel guilty or play the victim. Im just sharing that doing this without a village and support is very, very challenging. Being a mum has many beautiful, priceless moments, but I would not choose to do it this way.
