Sound made visible ⚡️ Ferguson Hill redefines what high-end audio can be by giving sound a physical presence. Founded in 2003 by former aeronautical engineer Timothy Hill, the studio began with a radical idea: that performance and form should be inseparable. That thinking led to the FH001 - the world’s first front-loaded horn dipole loudspeaker - and a completely new visual language for audio design. Every Ferguson Hill system is driven by the same principles: precision engineering, acoustic purity, and absolute design integrity. Transparent acrylic horns, sculpted bass spheres and meticulously tuned components work together to create a listening experience that is immersive, spatial and alive - sound experienced not just through the ears, but through space itself. From concert posters to record albums, phonographs to digital music players, handheld radios to sound systems, "Art of Noise" takes visitors on an exploration of how design has transformed people’s relationship to music over the past 100 years. The exhibition will feature more than 300 artworks drawn largely from the collections of Cooper Hewitt and SFMOMA, as well as teenage engineering’s unique choir installation and Devon Turnbull’s immersive listening room.
