I loved making this chart. Even better I loved how it turned out. Large visuals with lots of writing space? A great combination for assisting every student. The visuals draw you in and then make the chart approachable. They provide coloring space for quick writers while making notebooks easier to search through. Lots of writing space allows you room for customization and for not so neat handwriting 😁 Notes must be multipurpose for us to have a successful starting point. Sublimation is such a fun word. This chart would fit in so nicely in the cold days we are floating through right now (so much crunchy grass!) or during Halloween. My students are always asking to “make potions”- having some dry ice around would be icing on the cake 🤣 Even if you have already taught certain topics, such as this one, these charts are bite size and perfect for review. I love using them for mini demos, stations, and games such as in scavenger hunts (helps keep that notebook in tip top shape). Come draw with me! This is one of my newer charts- the Isotope! Such a fun one and a great way to implement purposeful color. Have your kids highlight as you fill in the note space. Color is important because it helps your brain stitch together information and hold on to it! When we have lots of vocabulary and math involved, kids begin to spiral and get overwhelmed. Chunk it down with some extra color. Notice how I differentiate with yellow and pink here? Your students will see that the color is connecting the dots for them. When we do that, the material solidifies easier but also helps jog student brains when they revisit their notes. Too often I have seen students go back just to get confused and flustered. Connect with color. Provide students with colored pencils if highlighters are not an option for you. Time to start making anchor charts again!! My students thrive when they have clear, visual reminders they can reference throughout the day!! & so do I because “check the chart” hits different than repeating myself 47 times🩷🙃
