I vote for using more rich tones throughout our homes. I usually lean towards more neutral colors myself but man this sign is starting to convince me we need allllll the colors 😍😍 #maker #art #diy #home #homedecor

Feeling like your space needs to be a little warmer but do NOT feel like painting walls? Try adding color to your furniture! I refinished by pottery barn Logan bookshelves to be a warmer brown tone and added a wood grain using nothing but PAINT! This did take quite a few hours over the course of two days BUT if you have the time and patience, you can do this too. Full tutorial available on YouTube (link in bio). Never a dull moment over here ✨ Turned a simple pallet into something special 💙 This DIY table got a full glow-up with hand-laid tiles, and I’m honestly obsessed with how it came together. From rough wood to a statement piece—proof that a little vision (and a lot of patience 😅) goes a long way. Now it’s the perfect spot for cozy nights, candles, and fresh flowers 🌸🕯️ #DIYProject #PalletTable #HomeDecor #BeforeAndAfter #CreativeLiving:
Can you believe this dining room used to look flat? Here’s exactly how I created this faux limewash finish. First — this is NOT real limewash. It’s a faux technique using regular latex paint. The depth comes from layering + movement. Materials You’ll Need: • A small bucket of water (wide enough to fit your brush) • Two shades of your chosen color (one lighter + one darker) → I used @behrpaint Jean Jacket Blue + Starless Night (interior flat finish) • A large, good quality paintbrush • Painter’s tray (you can split it lengthwise with cardboard — optional, I didn’t) • Drop cloth to protect your space ⸻ Step-by-Step: 1. Prep your walls. Wipe them down with a damp cloth and let dry completely. Start with a clean surface. 2. Pour both paint shades into your tray. Keeping them side by side allows you to pick up variation on your brush. 3. Lightly dampen your brush in water. Not dripping. Just damp. 4. Dip into BOTH colors. You should visibly see both shades on the bristles. 5. Apply in small sections using crisscross (X) strokes. Work thin. Don’t overload the brush. 6. For a more aged look, lightly drag the brush vertically and horizontally. The movement creates depth. Don’t overblend. 7. Let dry completely. Want more drama? Add another layer once dry. ⸻ Questions I Know You’ll Ask: Do I need a base coat? If your wall is already painted a similar tone, no. If you’re going lighter over dark, yes. What finish should I use? Flat or matte. Anything with sheen will ruin the softness. Is it forgiving? Yes. The randomness is what makes it beautiful. How long does it take? Plan for patience. It’s not rushed. It’s layered. Can beginners do this? Absolutely. Practice on cardboard first if you’re nervous. ⸻ Full tutorial breakdown is in the voiceover — but save this post so you have the steps when you’re ready. And no, I’m not finished yet. In 2026, when the time is right, I plan to update the light fixture and chairs. Because this house is a marathon, not a race. Depth takes time.🥰 #diy #diningroominspo #homemakeover #interiordesign #over40
Late-night DIY + tuna cans + chalk paint = a pretty cute glow-up! ✨ This little table belonged to a viewer of @thegoodstuffctv who wanted to keep it in her condo den makeover, so I gave it a quick refresh before surprising her with it in-studio. 👀 Watch the March 10 episode with reveal and BIG reaction on The Good Stuff’s YouTube channel!

✨ Comment SPRAY and I’ll send you the exact handle attachment + primer I used (make sure you’re following so it comes through) 😉 I primed this entire piece in under 5 minutes… with a spray can. But THIS is what made the difference. This handle attachment turns any spray can into a mini paint sprayer so you get: • better control • smoother, more even coverage • no hand cramps I used a high performance enamel primer which dries fast, sticks really well, and gives you a super solid base before painting. Perfect if you don’t want to invest in a full paint sprayer but still want that smooth finish. ✅️Save this before your next project and follow for beginner DIYs and furniture flips you can actually do. ❤️Maddie Lou . . . . . . . . . spray can painting hack furniture how to use spray paint on furniture without streaks spray paint vs paint sprayer furniture how to prime furniture fast and evenly best primer for furniture before painting how to get smooth finish with spray paint beginner furniture flipping tools and tips budget alternative to paint sprayer how to paint furniture without brush marks rustoleum spray paint furniture tutorial Easiest way to prime furniture Budget friendly way to prime furniture Cheap furniture primer that works Spray paint attachment handle #furnitureflipping #diyfurniture #paintingtips #spraypaint beginnerdiy homediy diyprojects #myrustoleum
