3/4 - this is absolutely heartbreaking
HONORING SGT. 1st CLASS NICOLE M. AMOR: FALLEN HERO IN KUWAIT Amor was highly decorated and leaves behind a teenage son. @thebeaudavidson
War is breaking out between the U.S., Israel, and Iran. And when I see it, I don’t see headlines first — I see memories. I grew up watching my dad wear the uniform of this country. A decorated U.S. Army veteran. I saw the medals. I saw the discipline. I saw the quiet weight he carried that he didn’t always talk about. I learned early that war isn’t a talking point. It’s not a debate stage. It’s not a hashtag. It’s sons and daughters. It’s sacrifice. It’s nights families don’t sleep. It’s freedom that costs something. So when I see what’s happening, I don’t respond with hype or panic. I respond with respect. Respect for the men and women who will stand in harm’s way. Respect for the families who will wait at home. And a sober understanding that innocent people always pay a price in conflict. Do I believe biblical prophecy is real? Absolutely. Scripture tells us there will be wars and rumors of wars. None of this catches God off guard. He is still sovereign. But prophecy isn’t permission to be careless. It’s a reminder to stay grounded. I’m not going to pretend I know every layer of global politics. I don’t. And I won’t speak beyond what I actually understand. But I do know this — no political leader is our savior. Not Trump. Not anyone. My hope isn’t in a party, a personality, or a platform. It’s in God. At the same time, I refuse to let hatred consume me either. I watched my dad love this country without worshiping politicians. He believed in service, integrity, and doing what’s right — not screaming louder than the next guy. If we trusted God half as much as we react to politics, we wouldn’t be this divided. So here’s where I stand. I’m praying for peace. I’m praying for protection over our troops. I’m praying for wisdom for leaders. And I’m choosing faith over fear. Because panic doesn’t honor the sacrifice. And anger doesn’t bring clarity. God is still sovereign. And I’m not letting the noise steal my peace. #trump #israel #iran #war #faith
As a prior U.S. Marine and combat veteran, watching everything happening in the world right now hits differently… especially knowing my own son is about to join the Marine Corps. I’ve been seeing service members online posting about politics and the possibility of war with Iran. But when you sign that contract, you’re not signing up for the missions you agree with. You’re signing up to serve, follow orders, and take care of the people standing next to you. When you’re in uniform, the mission comes first. Now that many of us are sending our own sons and daughters into the military, the reality of war hits a lot closer to home. Active duty, veterans, and military families — what’s your perspective? #militarylife #usmarine #veterans #militaryfamily #war
Nicole Amor, a 39-year-old soldier from White Bear Lake, Minnesota, was killed on March 1, 2026, after an Iranian drone strike hit a command center at Port Shuaiba. Amor was one of six U.S. Army Reserve soldiers who died in the attack, which occurred shortly after the launch of Operation Epic Fury. According to reports, Amor had spoken with her husband, Joey, just two hours before the strike. The next morning, when he tried to reach her again, she never replied. She had been only days away from returning home to her family, including their two children—a high school student and a fourth grader. Amor enlisted in the United States Army Reserve in 2005 and served in logistics. During her career, she had previously deployed to both Kuwait and Iraq. Her family says she had recently been moved to a temporary shipping container facility with limited protection, as troops were dispersed amid concerns that the main base could become a target. Her death has sparked conversations about the risks faced by deployed service members and the devastating impact of sudden conflict escalation on military families. #BreakingNews #USArmy #MilitaryService #GlobalConflict
