This week we are highlighting some of the women in Team165... 👥 Meet Amie Amie joined the Army Reserve when she was 17 and didn't even realised it was a paid role! 17 years later, the Reserves has given me far more than I ever expected. I’ve learnt two different trades, travelled to incredible places, and made lifelong friendships along the way — many of whom I now consider my chosen family. It’s been a journey filled with challenges, opportunities, and adventures that I’ll always be grateful for. One of my personal highlights was deploying to Canada in 2017 to gain extra experience. The adventure training opportunities have been just as unforgettable; from trekking the peaks of Arizona, skiing in Norway, sailing around the Canary Islands, to sea kayaking around the Isles of Scilly. It’s been an absolute blast. 17 years in, I’m still excited for many more years of challenges and adventures as my career progresses. In the meantime, I get to enjoy welcoming new members into the Army Reserve and watching them grow and flourish on their own journeys. #MeetTheTeam #YouBelongHere #BritishArmy
People sometimes ask why I left Maybe even a troll on Instagram with a faceless account will say nearly 10 years service wasn’t enough (because they got scared to leave). But most people who leave when I did go when there’s opportunity elsewhere, or when the service isn’t in an exciting phase. I look back with great fondness but there’s one thing I miss most

#Repost @raiovackabreu If you choose to become an infantryman, make sure you truly want the infantry lifestyle. This job is not easy. It’s hard on your body and your mind. Long ruck marches, sleepless nights in terrible conditions, and sometimes weeks without a proper shower. Danger That’s part of the life. In my five years in the infantry, I’ve seen plenty of people hate their lives because they joined for the wrong reasons. If you’re coming here for bonuses, benefits, or just because someone told you it’s a good idea, you’re going to be miserable. Infantry is not for everyone. You have to love the grind, the suffering, and the mission. If you don’t love it, this is not the place for you.

Only a small percentage make it… and SFC Camacho @david705 just proved why he belongs there. 🔥🇺🇸 Earned the Expert Soldier Badge and became part of the 2% of the U.S. Army that can wear it. Out of 1,200 Soldiers in Hawaii, only 300 earned the Sharp Edge — a challenge built to break limits, test mental toughness, physical endurance, and prove who is truly expert at the Soldier level. This is not luck, this is discipline, pain, and pure commitment. Proud of my life battle buddy SFC Camacho… well earned, brother. ⚔️💪 #ExpertSoldierBadge #USArmy #BeAllYouCanBe #ArmyElite #SharpEdge
A powerful reminder that true dedication focuses on the *individual*. Witnessing this ongoing commitment to learn and serve, specifically channeling today's efforts in honor of Hirsch. Nearly a year in, the pledge to deeply understand the experience of *every* soldier remains unwavering. A profound example of service in action. #SoldierSupport #Dedication #ServiceJourney #MilitaryLife #HonorAndServe

This is the other side of the Army that no one really shows you— not the news, not social media, not even people around you. It’s the relationships we build and the opportunities that come with it. I may not be with some of them anymore, but a random call or text and it’s like no time passed. We pick right back up where we left off. That’s something I’ll never take for granted. If you’re on the fence about joining, understand this it’s bigger than a job. You’ll meet people from all walks of life and grow together in ways that are hard to explain unless you’ve lived it. 💯🪖🇺🇸 #beallyoucanbe #jointhearmy #usarmy #armylife #militarylife
