I’m mostly out of words these days. But I have to say something.
Imagine not understanding the body.

Bruh. The privilege of living with incredible scientific advances has made some forget how we got here.🤦♀️
👉EVERY aspect of healthcare relies on following evidence as skilled professionals who can INTERPRET IT and apply it meaningfully.
Before you say “bUt BaD sTuDiEs ExIsT”…
❗️YES. That’s WHY we have peer review, systematic reviews, and clinical expertise to evaluate study quality.
We don’t base decisions on single studies. We look at the BODY of evidence, replication, and clinical outcomes.
“Evidence-based practice” isn’t just “listening to research.” It’s integrating THREE components:
1. best available research evidence
2. clinical expertise & experience
3. individual patient values and circumstances.
It’s using professional judgment to apply findings to real people with unique needs.
SKEPTICISM is good! That’s part of good science. BUT there’s a massive difference between healthy skepticism and outright DENIAL of established facts.
When we ignore evidence or twist research to sell false claims, people lose. WE lose. Grifters win.
If I practiced PT ignoring decades of research, it’d be terrifying. We’re always evolving (THANK GOODNESS).
🥼We took oaths to do no harm and advocate for patients. When people doubt evidence-based practice, it hurts patients and undermines teams dedicated to helping people.
I can’t stand by idly as this c.diff level of explosive misinformation diarrhea projectiles out of the government. Good God.
We can’t make medical decisions based on vibes. Listen to credible experts.
