Today was a big day for me, a solo flight for an hour alone up there, I was super nervous my solo flight was at 2.30pm I turned up at 7.30 in the morning just to feel at ease 😅, it’s not just getting behind the controls and flying theres a lot of work that goes on inside the plane. The theory, the Radio calls, the understanding of the plane itself, the mechanics, how weather, wind, controls, planning routes, the flight restrictions etc all play a part in it. You just cannot mess up, there no room for errors. Unlike a car where you can stop and have a think, you just don’t have that time up there everything happens so quick. It’s about cutting your workload and being a step ahead of the aircraft. It’s never the planes fault it’s always the Pilots. The amount of work that goes into learning this is just incredible. I’ve been working, flying and studying for the past 10 weeks it’s been tough to juggle it all, but I’ve committed. I’m grateful to have this opportunity and for the instructors at @academyaviationnorthweald who have helped me till now. Eddie, Gavin @lifeoftezza @sam_head @denizbaysal have all been such great support throughout.
