A lot of people delay starting their locs because they’re waiting for the “right time.” More length. More confidence. And that hesitation is completely normal. Theres really no a perfect moment, just a moment you choose. Many people don’t realize that locs are designed to grow with you, not after everything is figured out. The early stages are part of the learning process, helping you understand your hair, your scalp, and what routine works best for you. Waiting doesn’t change those stages, but it does postpone them. Starting now allows your hair time to adjust naturally, develop strength, and settle into its own rhythm. It also gives you space to build healthy habits early, without rushing or unrealistic expectations. Starter Locs Require a Consultation Follow our Hair Product Page @amournaturals.hairco Follow @amournaturalss for more loc content 📍Morrow #starterlocs #locjourney#loclife #atlloctician #atllocs

This is a reminder to please be patient with your hair. Starter Locs (and Locs in general) do whatever they want to do (lol!) There’s a reason we say “loc journey” because how/ where you start can feel so far off from your desired destination. But remember to TRUST THE PROCESS! And AVOID THIS MISTAKE- COMPARING YOUR JOURNEY TO OTHERS! This is essential. No two loc journeys are the same. Your hair is not the same type, curl pattern, porosity, etc. as anyone else’s. Not your sister, your mom, or your friend. So your Locs aren’t going to look like anyone else’s. Embrace your hair’s uniqueness! A quick beginner tips- Maintain your Locs regularly. Our hair loves, craves, and desires ROUTINE. It is important to create one that works for you and your hair’s needs-and then STICK TO IT. Of course you can make adjustments as you progress in your journey. And if you’re not sure of what to do or where to start, consult your loctician! They should be there to help you throughout the entire process. Follow @locenvystl for more loc content and inspo!!
