Following an intimate show at a disused central London cinema last night, @staticdress have shared details of their second album. It’s called ‘injury episode,’ and will be released through @sumerianrecords on May 29th. The highly anticipated follow-up to ‘Rouge Carpet Disaster’ will consist of 15 songs. Among them is the quartet’s new single, ‘Nostalgia Kills,’ which features @underoathband. The track proves to be an explosive blast of post-hardcore with the former tour mates exchanging barbed words. ‘injury episode’ will also feature ‘human props,’ which was released in February. PORTRAYAL OF GUILT return with a new album, …Beginning of the End, set for release April 24. The title feels ominous, but the band has never stayed still long enough for anything to truly end. Across the record, they move through familiar darkness and stranger terrain - bursts of violent hardcore energy sitting next to slower, uneasy passages. There are traces of groove, fragments of nu-metal and alternative rock, and moments that drift into trip hop or dark ambient. The first glimpse comes through two tracks, “Ecstasy” and “Human Terror.” They show different sides of the album: tension, weight, and a sense of something lurking just beneath the surface. “Ecstasy” arrives with a bleak and creepy video directed by Craig Murray, while “Human Terror” is paired with a simple visualizer. This spring the band will also head out on a North American tour, starting May 9 in their hometown of Austin. Selected shows will include PAGENINETYNINE, TARANEH, HALLOWEEN, and THE INFINITY RING @pageninetynineband The album will be released by Run For Cover Records, which recently also put out new material from NOTHING and ANGEL DU$T. @portrayalofguilt @runforcover
