Learning about the human body just got way more fun! 🫀🧠🦴
Comment BOOK for the link to shop! Book
My toddler is at that stage where he wants to know what everything is and how it works, so this one has been such a fun way to explore the human body together.
It’s interactive, easy for little ones to follow, and introduces STEM concepts without feeling too advanced. Basically, learning disguised as play—which is always a win in our house. 🤍

New book alert! 📚 I really enjoyed reading Penny & Luck: The Shadows of Rosehall written by Claire Karwowski and illustrated by Sian Roberts! This book is a middle grade adventure chapter book recommended for ages 6-8. I found it to be a cute fantasy story with interesting characters. The illustrations are fun and really add to the story. I could see this being a great book to read aloud to others or just to read on your own. The plot was engaging for me as an adult and I liked that it included empowering STEM heroines as the main characters. The story blends magic, scientific problem solving, and adventure fantasy. I found it to be an engaging and creative read!
This is a new book published by DK Flip on July 28, 2026. Its available on amazon and other places where books are sold. Order Penny & Luck: The Shadows of Rosehall today!
Partial Synopsis of this book: “Nine-year-old Penny Jones and her corgi sidekick, Luck, thought their summer would be ordinary ‘ until a twist of magic sends them tumbling into a whole new world! BOOYAH!”
I received this book complimentary from the publisher.

toddler engineering shelves!
i find that a lot of STEM books geared to toddlers are completely inappropriate and are more novelties for the adults. these are the contenders - books that introduce language and concepts in ways that are accessible and relevant to little ones.

Teaching engineering to littles doesn’t have to require fancy materials.
With just a few paper shapes and a stack of books, students learn to:
✔️ Make predictions
✔️ Test their ideas
✔️ Observe results
✔️ Think like engineers
Sometimes the simplest STEM challenges create the biggest “aha!” moments.
Have you done something similar with your students?

We’ve discovered a new series of STEM books that my son can’t get enough of…and it pairs perfectly with our @connetix_tiles sets! We have read this book so many times since I grabbed it from the library…so much so that I grabbed the other two and we end up reading all 3 on an almost nightly basis. Perhaps I should invest in these ones? They are interactive books, each about a different STEM topic. This one is about motion, and throughout the book you do things like moving the block out of the way of the marble, observing how friction impacts movement on ice vs. sandpaper, and putting your finger in shaving cream to see what happens! This book (and the others in the series) pair PERFECTLY with play to foster learning!

What is Math? is selected one of the best of the STEM books of the year in 2023! Considering how many books published every year in the States, only 24 titles were selected and “What is Math?” is one of them!!!!!! YEAH!!! I am so thrilled!
ナショナルサイエンスティーチングアソシエーションというSTEM(Science/サイエンス、Technology /テクノロジー、Engineering/エンジニアリング、Math/数学)教育に関して、数多く関わっている組織が毎年選ぶ「ベストSTEMブック」に「What is Math?」

As many of you probably know already, I’m a huge advocate for STEM books for children, and particularly books that feature girls with STEM interests.
Today’s reel is all about STEM-related books for middle grade readers (ages 8 to 12).
📚Olga and the Smelly Thing from Nowhere by Elise Gravel
📚Ellie, Engineer by Jackson Pearce
📚The Trouble With Ants by Claudia Mills
📚The Wollstonecraft Detective Agency by Jordan Stratford
📚Girls Who Code by Stacie Deutsch
📚Luciana by Erin Teagan
📚Halley Harper Science Girl Extraordinaire - Summer Set in Motion by Tracy Borgmeyer
📚Elements of Genius - Nikki Tesla and the Ferret-Proof Death Ray by Jess Keating
📚Spin the Golden Light Bulb by Jackie Yeager
📚Max Einstein - The Genius Experiment by James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein
📚Click’d by Tamera Ireland Stone
📚The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate by Jacqueline Kelly
I’ve actually read quite a few of these books and found some new ones I want to read soon!
You’ll also notice this reel says it is Part 1… I found so many great STEM books I had to break it up into two parts!!! Stay tuned for Part 2!
QOTD: If you could go back in time, what advice would you give your 12-year old self?

We make STEM books.
But we also believe in learning through play — games, puzzles, strategy, curiosity.
It all builds the same beautiful reasoning skills.
