World's most venomous fish and I had to go all Idiot mode, poking around the reef like a raccoon with a credit card. I spot this perfect little hole that just had to be investigated. Without a single functioning brain cell, I shoved my hand straight in like it was a mystery box at a birthday party. Big mistake. Huge. Inside was a Stonefish — the underwater equivalent of a landmine wearing camouflage pajamas. Those things look like a rock that got tired of your nonsense and decided to evolve venomous spines that deliver the kind of pain people write religious experiences about. My hand went full "hello" right into its personal space. Meanwhile, hovering like a judgmental Victorian ghost two inches from my face was a Lionfish. All flowing venomous ribbons and "please proceed, I’m just here to watch Darwin take the wheel" energy. Beautiful. Terrifying. Zero respect for personal space. I now understand why evolution gave some fish the ability to ruin your entire week with one casual boop. 10/10 would not recommend. My hand is currently filing for emotional damages and plotting revenge against all marine life. Lesson learned: if it looks like a rock and lives in a hole, leave it alone.
