Prvi put sam videla aktivan GEJZIR 😍
Sam naziv ovog prirodnog fenomena potiče iz islandskog jezika. Jedan od termalnih izvora sa najvišim dometom vode na svetu su Islanđani nazvali gejzir i onda su svi termalni izvori ovog tipa dobili isti naziv.
Gejzir koji vidite na ovom snimku se nalazi pored onog čiji je i naziv GEJZIR i zove se STROKKUR. Gejzir ima mnogo veći domet (i do 70 m), ali je trenutno neaktivan; dok Strokur eruptira na svakih 4 do 10 minuta (visina vode je od 25-40 m). Temeprature vode prelazi i 100 stepeni, pa morate biti jako pažljivi prilikom posete i ne približavati se.
Celo ovo područje je bogato termalnim izvorima i dok šetate, sve oko vas se puši, a delovi zbog sumpora smrde i na pokvarena jaja.
Ulaz na gotovo sve turističke atrakcije na Islandu se ne plaća, ali se plaća parking (oko 6 € po vozilu) i ovo je prva tačka na čuvenoj “Golden Circle” ruti o kojoj vam detaljnije pišem uskoro.
