Moving to Germany doesn't just teach you German - it slowly destroys your English too😂
And at some point you're speaking this beautiful hybrid language that no one from back home understands anymore.

Everyone keeps asking me
“Should I do my Master’s in Germany in 2026?” 🇩🇪
Here’s the honest answer.
The cost of living has gone up and Germany is not as cheap as it used to be.
Surviving on a student budget here is possible, but it takes real planning.
If you are planning to come here expecting part-time jobs to cover everything, I would honestly say think twice.
Reality check:
• Rent in cities like Bremen, Munich or Berlin is not cheap
• Health insurance is mandatory and costs money
• German bureaucracy will test your patience
• English alone will only take you so far
But that does not mean it is not worth it.
If you come with a clear plan manage your finances smartly, learn at least basic German and use your university network.
Germany can still give you world-class education, international exposure and real career opportunities.
Also, if you are taking a huge loan just to study here, make sure the course and the city you choose actually align with your goals. Not every degree or location gives the same return.
Germany can be an amazing decision but only if you go in with realistic expectations. This reel is not to discourage you.
It is just the reality I wish more students knew before moving here.

The biggest mistake international students make in Germany is getting stuck in jobs that pay bills but do not advance your career.
Delivery jobs, kitchen shifts, warehouse work - fine for paying bills. But if that's ALL you do for 2-3 years, you graduate with zero relevant experience while other students walk into jobs with stacked CVs.
Working student roles exist.
Research positions exist.
Industry internships exist.
But nobody tells you how to find them.

In Germany, never step out without your apartment keys 🔑🇩🇪
Because getting locked out is not just inconvenient — it can be expensive and stressful.
🔹 €300–€500 for new keys or lock replacement
🔹 In some cases, the entire lock system must be changed
🔹 Even worse on weekends when everything is closed
One small mistake can turn into a big headache.
Always double-check before closing the door!
