Some days are for making a mess, letting everything fall out on your instrument, chasing phrases, grabbing whatever words show up.
No judgment. No sorting. Just capture the spark.
Then, on a different day (or at least a different mindset), you put on the editor hat: refine, shape, tighten, and choose what actually serves the song.
That’s where craft comes in.
