One week until the first match at NYNJ Stadium, and NYC’s subways are transforming into a moving celebration of global soccer ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026™. 🌎🚊⚽️ Riders may have already spotted the R Train featuring Brazil & Morocco and the 1 Train featuring Senegal & France—representing the nations competing in the opening two matches at NYNJ Stadium and giving millions of fans an early glimpse of the excitement headed our way. Developed in partnership with the FIFA World Cup 2026™ NYNJ Host Committee, New York City Hall, and the MTA, this unprecedented project will ultimately celebrate all 48 participating nations, transforming the World’s Subway into a tribute to the cultures, colors, and passion that make the FIFA World Cup the world’s biggest sporting event. Another transformation at 55 Degrees North... 🌿👀   If you’ve passed through the subways recently, you might have noticed things are looking a little different...   Following the arrival of 39 new artworks as part of our 55 Creative project, we’ve now added even more colour to the space with a brand new 34m² artificial green wall underneath the 55 Degrees North roundabout 🌱   Working with @newcastlecouncil, it’s one of two new green wall installations being added as part of the wider improvements to the subways.   Designed to bring more colour, texture and life to one of the city’s key pedestrian routes, it’s another piece of the transformation taking place beneath the roundabout. 💚🌿   📍 55 Degrees North subways, Newcastle upon Tyne   Keep and eye out for what comes next in the area! 👀🌿   #newcastlene1 #newcastleupontyne #newcastle #newcastleupontyneuk
