#superchicken

Super Chicken was always my favorite cartoon superhero for two reasons. 1. I always cheer for the underdog. I mean, Superman is so big and strong, it was almost like bullying. Everyone expected him to win, but a scrawny little Chicken? Those are some pretty bad odds. 2. The super sauce didn’t really have any magical powers, but when SC drank it, he thought it did, and that was all that mattered - which relays a strong message to kids - that you are whatever you believe you are. My kids and I have had a lot of fun singing this together. If you’re a parent, I highly recommend it. 😂 #superchicken #saturdaymorningcartoons #1970s #funny #tvthemesongs all sounds and images are owned by the respective copyright holders. When crime clucks up, millionaire fowl Henry Cabot Henhouse III downs his Super Sauce, dons the cape, and—crying “To the Super Coop, Fred!”—turns into Super Chicken to save the day with flair and feather-ruffling comedy. #SuperChicken #JayWardCartoons #ClassicAnimation #1960sCartoon #AnimatedSuperhero

Super Chicken is a animated segment that ran on the animated television series George of the Jungle. It was produced by Jay Ward and Bill Scott, who earlier had created the Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons. It debuted September 9, 1967, on ABC

In 1967, Super Chicken debuted as a segment within the animated television series George of the Jungle, produced by Jay Ward and Bill Scott, the creators of Rocky and Bullwinkle. The show parodied classic superhero tropes, featuring Henry Cabot Henhouse III, a wealthy, martini-sipping chicken who transforms into the caped crusader Super Chicken after consuming his "Super Sauce." Accompanied by his loyal yet dimwitted lion sidekick, Fred, Super Chicken embarked on absurd adventures in their egg-shaped aircraft, the Super Coop. Known for its satirical humor and catchphrase, "You knew the job was dangerous when you took it, Fred," the series offered a comedic take on heroism and was part of a trio of segments alongside George of the Jungle and Tom Slick. #SuperChicken #1967Cartoons #JayWardProductions #GeorgeOfTheJungle #ClassicAnimation #RetroCartoons #SaturdayMorningCartoons #AnimatedParody #VintageTV #SuperheroSatire
