Our new Polar icebreaker is coming together at @chantierdavie! 🚢❄️ Last month, the first superstructure block was moved to the assembly area after leaving the paint shop. It was then turned over and installed in its final position. A key step that will be repeated for each block, bringing one of the most powerful icebreakers ever built for Canada one step closer to completion.

Notre nouveau brise-glace Polaire prend forme chez @chantierdavie! 🚢❄️ Le mois dernier, le premier bloc de superstructure a été déplacé vers la zone d’assemblage après son passage à l’atelier de peinture. Il a ensuite été retourné puis installé à son emplacement final. Une étape clé qui sera répétée pour chaque bloc, donnant progressivement vie à l'un des brise-glaces les plus puissant jamais construit pour le Canada.
