I finished my cosplay for Six (or Sybil Delling) from “The Knight and the Moth” by @rmgillig which was one of my favorite reads from 2025! The book repeatedly talks about how her gown and veil are made of gossamer, and I loved that a type of fabric could embody an entire religion, and a way of oppression. I tried to capture the feeling of gossamer in the dress itself, by making it very full, floaty and giving it a ton of movement by the way I cut it. The dress was sewn by hobbling together multiple etsy patterns on my @babylocksewing Jazz 2. I should put together a video or reel showing how I did - it was a lot of fun! The fabric is a gorgeous sand washed silk satin found for me by @erikaalamode! The beautiful copy I have in my hand is a @fairyloot edition btw.
