#TapClipOfTheDay:
Three years ago, Caroline Julian (@carolinevjulian) of Detroit, Michigan, performed her final tap solo in her final year of competition.
This solo, titled “Just Listen,” was choreographed by Jason Janas (@jayjan300), and it has a lot of meaning to her. It was Caroline’s competition swan song, and she couldn’t have gone out with a better solo.
Three years later, Caroline graduated from college, and I am willing to bet that she would look back on the last 23 years of her life with fondness. I’m also willing to bet that this #FlashbackFriday feature will evoke many warm feelings. 💜

Repost from @carolinevjulian
Happy National Tap Dance Day, and Happy Birthday Bill “Bojangles” Robinson!
Tap Dance is everything to me, and this year I wanted to post my solo. This was the last time I will ever compete a solo, and this dance in particular means a lot to me.
This one is called “Just Listen”, choreographed by @jayjan300. I’ve always wanted an a cappella piece, and it was an honor to perform this during my last year of competition. Thank you Jason for this incredible solo and the opportunity to perform this piece.
(I don’t have the original video so this is from the livestream, excuse the random angle change in the end)

Mombasa
It’s rare to find a tap dancer with the full package—technical precision, musicality, quality of movement, and dynamic performance. @katelynnedances had it all, and I had the luxury of choreographing freely, knowing she could bring anything to life. I loved how this senior solo turned out and was so grateful to watch her perform it at @tremainedance 🖤
