Kyoto has so many amazing temples and shrines! ⛩️ Tenryu-ji temple itself was not accessible at all, but its incredible garden mostly was. ♿️ It has gravel paths and some low steps, which were not ideal, but I eventually made it through the viewing loop! #tenryuji #accessibletravel #kyoto #rettsyndrome #wheelchairgirl
We went to Tenryu-ji Temple which is one of the most important Zen temples in Japan! It was so amazing because we had a plant based meal at Tenryu-ji Temple. It has been a highlight of the trip so far. It was so delicious! It’s on the Michelin Guide! The temple has been around since the 14th century. They offer shojin ryori, which is traditional Buddhist vegetarian cuisine. They served us vegetables, tofu, rice, and miso soup. Everything is prepared with great attention to balance and harmony, in keeping with Buddhist principles. It emphasizes mindfulness and respect for nature! Having been writing Haikus from aeons, I must say, this is definitely a dream come true for the autumn and Haiku lover in me - sitting beside a beautiful pond guarded by the happy trees all turning into fall foliage or Kouyou as they say in Japanese , the phenomenon of trees changing into fall colours , breathing in the air , and reflecting the beauty of life. Je vous en parle à chaque fois que je vais à Kyoto mais vraiment j’adore Arashiyama ❤️❤️!
Les montagnes, la rivière, les bambous, les temples, les maisons traditionnelles, le matcha (oui c’est important 😆), il y a vraiment tout ce qu’il faut 🥰
Depuis mon tout premier voyage à Kyoto c’est vraiment mon endroit coup de cœur 🫶🏻
Beaucoup de personnes réduisent Arashiyama à la bambouseraie (qui est très belle hein) mais il y a tellement plein d’autres lieux qui valent le coup d’être visités. Par exemple :
- Le temple Tenryuji
- Le temple Daikakuji
- Le temple Adashino Nenbutsuji et les alentours (très mimi)
- La rivière Hozu
…
Bref Arashiyama c’est absolument un lieu à ajouter dans votre itinéraire de voyage à Kyoto ! 😊
Et non ce n’est pas du tout un lieu bondé ! À part la bambouseraie qu’il faut plutôt voir le matin (même 9h c’est bien) tous les autres lieux ne sont pas si prisés !
