I wrote a long descriptive caption for this reel, several times actually. However, the wifi at my place sucks! I continually lost the story I wrote, so that is why the fragmented ending has been oddly hanging on without explanation for so long. I just got so frustrated by losing the story multiple times, that I gave up. I learned to save the draft frequently.

This is dedicated to guy at the kiosk at the mall who said “ooooooh I’m Covid. I’m the virrrrrusssssss” to my son and I when we walked by. And the other super kind people who make fun of those who choose to mask to protect themselves and others from getting sick.
Did you ever stop to think that maybe that person is putting up with being the only one with a mask to help protect a vulnerable family member… or vulnerable patients? In many cases, peer pressure but also outright bullying is enough to make someone ditch their mask, despite their best judgment. It takes a lot of courage and integrity to be the only one.
No one is forcing you to mask. But if cases are going up and others are responding by putting one on (an act of kindness, in my opinion), then what’s it to you? Tenu ki?
No one says we have to mask indefinitely and in every scenario but it’s a great idea to put one on when you are sharing air space with a bunch of people when an air-born virus is causing increased hospitalizations, disability and continues to add to the death toll.
