Gone, but never forgotten.
An absolute masterpiece of a tribute by Thanos Copter ( @the_thanoscopter ), recreating the entire Coast to Coast from scratch with an amazing guest 🌈

Thanos Copter
The stock helicopter I used as a base didn't have a rear rotor because it was modeled after a design that utilized NOTAR, a helicoptor anti-torque system which replaces the rotor. Which was a major problem because the Thanos Copter obviously has a tail rotor. So I chopped off the stock rear section and completely rebuilt it adding a new tail rotor that I fashioned out of a Credit Card and the missile tip from the missile accessory piece that came with the old Toybiz Hulk Classics Abomination. I used leftover pieces from the CC to make the pedals/foot rest too.
The next problem was the perforated frame, it needed to be covered. So I made a template to cut the pieces I needed to cover the frame and then used a plastic slip cover from the box of a Hot Toys Evil Superman as the frame paneling. Painted, sealed and glued those on and then added the lettering.
The Thanos Copter doesn't have a winch, which meant the stock winch had to go because I really wanted this to be as accurate as possible. So I chopped it off, sanded down the edges and then covered the hole with a piece of paneling I had already made. I had originally painted the main rotors a silver metallic but, after looking at all the source material, including the Lego and Hot Wheels versions, I repainted them a yellow-gold instead. Painted the interior, the landing gear, etc. and also added paneling to cover the inside of the engine compartment.
Close enough.🤷🏾♂️
