🌳 Cute little kid friendly hike if you’re visiting Tilden Little Farm: Jewel Lake loop trail. It’s literally right next to the farm. Love to add this on to any Tilden visit. Less than a mile loop with cute bridges, lush bushes, a walk through tree, chair logs, & can usually spot turtles by the water. We actually spotted a deer nestled in the trees this time. 🌳 After our hike (which was about 25ish mins) we joined the Little Farm animal feeding at 3:30. Kinda perfect way to end the day. One of the naturalists had a bunny out to pet too which was cute. The girls were allowed in the goat pen after feeding them & got to pet them which was nice. 🌳 I always got a story to tell from growing up out here but when I was little Jewel lake was waaaaay bigger with more streams & water flow. The original bridge you can walk in on used to have water under it. It doesn’t anymore it just takes you through the bushes. But my daycare used to take us on hikes there & I remember a kid stuck his leg over after the teachers told them not to lol & his shoe fell in the stream. The lake has become super dried up compared to my childhood but I still enjoy hiking it with my kids & telling them stories from it. ✨✨✨ #Tilden #LittleFarm #JewelLake #HellaBay #TakeAHike #WeOutside #BayExplorers
