After they go home, we’ll do a big round of cleaning in the dot room and then Octavia will move in so she can be more comfortable while we work on getting her seizures diagnosed and under control. ❤️
The dot squad is ready to melt YOUR heart! 🐾

Momma Smudge loves her babies 💕
Two weeks old today, and the babies are getting HUGE! They're moving a d starting to explore. They're just starting to see and hear. The next step is by far my favorite; 3 weeks old.

I have committed a foster mom sin…. I have picked a favorite.
While #calicos usually steal my heart, Mr. Alfie the tuxedo was the first kitten who looked at me when I walked into the room.
While the are all wonderful - I’m really smitten with this soft little fuzzy man 🥹🥹🦇🦇

223 grams and seemingly on a mission. Not quite ready for big kid food yet, bud! You need to grow some teeth first! 😹
So far, the kittens only venture out of the nest when I’m in the room. At least, I’ve never seen them “out and about” when checking the pet cam. Mama spends most of her time in the nest with them when I’m not in there. I’ll likely put up some short plastic panels around the popup crate in the next couple of days to ensure they don’t wander too far away from home base. 🧡

Last morning with Puffin and crew🫶🏻
today is adoption day ! 🥳
.
Everyone asks me if I’ll be sad, of course I will. It’s only temporary, they’ll be going to a great home together.
.
The reality is, there’s always other kittens living outside that need a foster home. Many rescue groups can’t agree to take in kittens unless they have a foster home lined up. so no, I don’t call in bed with ice cream and feel sad. I get to work cleaning and disinfecting for the next kittens in need.

I hired a new navigator but he fell asleep 5 minutes into the trip 🚗💤.
He demands 5 stars for the ride or he screams. 0/10 map skills, 100/10 cuteness. Driving this tiny potato home is my new favorite hobby 🥔🥺.
Welcome to the family, little hitchhiker! 😹
