📍 @toconoco in haggerston, london 🏡 the cosiest japanese cafe overlooking regent’s canal, tucked away in east london 🍵 only dropped by for a bit to try their black sesame latte and hojicha cheesecake but we loved them!! definitely have to come back to try the meals tho🥹

We tried out the Japanese canal side cafe with a play room for kids.. here’s our honest review! 🫧The cafe is cute, the play corner is small and a bit worn 🫧The staff were not friendly 🫧The food was good! 🍰 HIDDEN JAPANESE CAFES P.2🇯🇵 @toconoco is a hidden gems, hidden but beloved amongst locals in Haggerstone area. This cafe is more focused on food and drinks, but they also have some sweet treats like this matcha blondie & delicious homemade mochi. 🍵 Their drinks are incredible, but I’m yet to visit for food as their menu looks interesting and authentic. Love the vibes there, cosy by the river. 🌊 (Just a note, all these small Japanese cafes/businesses I’m introducing are quite tiny in terms of space and are very quiet yet quite busy as the locals love to hang out there. I will kindly ask to be respectful, quiet and enjoy the chill vibes& ambiance when visiting.) After hearing about this Japanese cafe a while ago we finally made a visit! Tucked away in-between the canals in Haggerston this sweet little gem is worth the visit. The food was authentic and delicious, the kids loved the rice balls and the miso soup (a big bonus was having a little play area for the kids which let us enjoy our meals hot ❤️). @toconoco I wish there was more cafes like this in london especially in the SW! Enjoy the sun with cup of their Japanese latte (matcha, sesame, roasted rice, hojicha and more) or even some light Japanese tea. 🍙- They serve warm housemade onigiri which is heartwarming. Apart from soggy seaweed the rest is great. 💚- warabi mochi is a cross between chewy mochi texture and soft jelly like feeling.
