A little moment from today’s installation in Esher We made and fitted these simple, elegant Roman blinds for the dream ensuite of the master bedroom of a gorgeous new build project we’re currently working on. Sometimes the most understated window treatments are exactly what a space needs — softening the light while keeping the clean, calm feel of the room. The warm neutral fabric works perfectly with the natural tones of the stone floor and the brass details, creating a relaxed, spa-like feel. I’ve been making three Roman blinds for a conservatory in the Cotswolds, and I’ve loved seeing them come together. The fabric is soft, elegant and timeless, with such a gentle stripe that works beautifully in a bright, natural space. There is always something so rewarding about the making process, watching each blind take shape, fold by fold, before they are ready to be fitted into their new home. Loved making these super thick interlined curtains ~ some behind the scenes here plus last pics show them in the cottage they were made for on a lovely French pole. VERY thick needles were required for those pinch pleats 🪡💪 and some brute force but we got there in the end and the results are ace!
