There are always lots of reasons we can come up with for deciding against something and wearing heels was something I thought I couldn't 'get away with early on ny transition. I didn't want to stand out and at 178 cm it just seemed like I would be drawing attention.
However, woman come in all shapes and sizes, so it is ok to be tall and that shouldn't make us feel like an outsider because we don't fit some narrow expectation. In my case wearing something with a heel is very affirming and makes me happy. Especially, some nice boots. Thanksfully after a couple of years I learnt that perceived social pressure is not a good enough reason to give that up.
