What makes a woman slay? Being a judge for the 2023 Slay Model Search Asia was such an inspiring and empowering experience. Seeing such incredible talent in action and witnessing trans women from all over Asia get the chance to fulfill their modeling dreams felt quite momentous. As you can imagine, they have gone through so much in their own lives just to fight to be themselves. During the competition, host @Kaladkaren asked judge Vice Ganda, “What makes a woman slay?” She didn’t ask me but had she done so, I would have said, “A woman slays when she knows who she is, knows what she wants in life, and fights to fulfill her biggest dreams.” And I don’t mean just all the external obstacles but all our internal obstacles as well. And often, that’s the hard part! Frequently, it’s our own limiting self-beliefs, self-doubt, and various fears that stop us from being confident enough to conquer the world. But I know you can do this. I won’t stop helping you slay all your inner demons! So, what are you waiting for? Can’t wait for all of you to start slaying!
