In honor of St. Patrick, we are not only wearing green, but also thinking a lot about loving our neighbors well. Some of our new releases today do just that! Congratulations to: @ibramxk on his new book Chain of Ideas. We are learning from it about the harm that has come from the great replacement theory and the good that comes from a society that puts community and the love of our neighbors over the fear of self-preservation. Make sure to grab tickets to his talk hosted by our friends at @parnassusbooks next Thursday! And to James H. McCommons and to @stmartinspress on the publication of The Feather Wars. It's a wonderful reminder of the good that can come from collective advocacy and care for the world. We here at Duckbill certainly love our feathered friends. You can stop by any time between 9am and 7pm. I’d grab a tea from Rolling Bay Cafe, bring a friend, and head over.... read some poetry, play some chess, and immerse yourself in something really special. They also take donations for the free shelf. Leave books on the counter, bench, or floor and they’ll get them cleaned and out for someone else to enjoy.
