Last night at @tropfest, Taron Egerton tells us why he doesn't think he's right for James Bond. 🎤@rach_choy #Tropfest #TaronEgerton #JamesBond

— 🎥 | At Tropfest 2026, Taron Egerton talked about why doing an Aussie accent for his character in ‘Apex’ was so hard: It’s an actual nightmare. It’s so hard. It’s all very back placed. So it sits kind of further back than my accent is naturally placed. It’s one of those accents that people advise you against doing because it’s a tricky one. I really wanted to do it and they let me give it my best shot. I’m pleased. I’ve watched it and I’m quite pleased with it. So, but we’ll see how audiences feel.” 📍 Apex premieres April 24 on Netflix. . . . . . #taronegerton #tropfest #apex #fy #foryou

@rodgercorser is such a stalwart of Australian film and TV. So it’s fitting he was a guest at last night’s return of the iconic (and world’s largest) short film festival - @tropfest 🍍 Fun fact: Rodger actually starred in a couple of Tropfest films that didn’t make the final cut, back in the day! I love his insights about the future of Australian film, as well as why #Tropfest is so important. Loved this chat! 🎤
