But something in me knew I had to try. I bought a one-way ticket with no clear plan, just a camera, a dream, and the hope that maybe I could build a life around freedom and travel. Fast forward to 2026… I’m still on the road. Still creating. Still free. Getting paid to do what I love, working with brands, telling stories, and meeting people who have changed my life in an unfathomable amount of ways. It wasn’t easy. It was worth it. I don’t know where it happened but somehow, somewhere, we learned that we’re all supposed to be striving for a career. If that works for you, go for it!! But we’ve been traveling for 8 years now, and the more I meet people from all over the world, I realize how outdated the ‘original’ advice we received was - degree, job, promotion, mortgage, etc. Because what if you don’t want that? What if the idea of climbing some ladder just simply doesn’t excite you? You don’t need a career to live a full, rich life. There are so many ways to make money. You don’t need a trust fund either lmao. So don’t even start with that. You can just… work. Seasonal jobs, gigs that let you pay rent for a few months, save money, then disappear to somewhere new. Travel the world. Do whatever. Meet people you wouldn’t meet otherwise. Learn things you’ll never see in an office. You can build your life around freedom if you choose to. And if you want, you can make money doing stuff that’s silly? Little videos online that make strangers laugh. Or inspire them. Or whatever. Nowadays you can turn almost anything into income. Life doesn’t have to be a strict roadmap. You can move at your pace, make mistakes, change directions, rest, explore, try again. You can define what success means to you. I failed publicly… and honestly, that might’ve been the best thing that ever happened to me. I thought travel content would change everything. I thought if I went far enough, saw enough, and documented enough, something would click. But what nobody tells you is that chasing a dream will confront you with yourself. Your ego. Your insecurity. Your doubt. It strips you down until there’s nothing left but truth. And the truth is, travel was never the destination. It was the beginning. It taught me discipline when no one was watching. It taught me to keep creating when nobody cared. It taught me that the real story was never the places I went… it was the person I was becoming along the way. So now the content is changing. Less escape. More real life. Less highlight reel. More day-to-day process. Less pretending. More becoming. This is just the beginning. Most people stop here, but I’m not quitting.
