Three months ago I quit my steady corporate job to become a Virtual Assistant. šŸ’» Now I’m using the skills I learned in corporate to support small businesses and help them grow. Call me crazy, but there’s no better feeling than knowing you’re helping real people move their businesses forward every single day. ✨#virtualassistantlife #virtualassistantservices #virtualassistants
Instead of doing all these things this week, I took a long family walk with my kids, watched a movie with my husband, and spent some time reading. Our family virtual assistant is constantly working in the background to help our family with the administrative tasks of the week to free up my TIME. Could I do it all? Yes. Do I choose to pay someone for a few hours of work to save the time? Absolutely. This is how I have it all without doing it all. 🩷 šŸ«¶šŸ¼Would love to hear… what are 2 things you’d LOVE to offload this week? #familyvirtualassistant #outsourcing #workingmom #lifehacks #womeninmedicine
Some of the most successful Virtual Assitants I’ve worked with started exactly like this… Not confident, they didn’t have a niche. They didn’t know what services to offer or what to charge. They definitely didn’t have a website. They were moms sitting at their kitchen table thinking I want something of my own, but I don’t know where to start. And if that’s where you are right now, that’s not a problem. That’s the beginning. Every successful VA I’ve worked with started with questions. What mattered wasn’t having it all figured out, it was deciding to try. You will not have 100% clarity right off the bat. This doesn’t mean you can’t get things going. You just need to promise yourself you’ll keep moving forward even when things feel uncertain. If you’ve been thinking about becoming a VA but keep telling yourself you need more time, more research, or more confidence, let’s get you moving. As a very Type A / high functioning organized mom, the idea of having an ā€œAdmin nightā€ to get through all the STUFF that piles up on my to do list actually sounds really helpful! The PROBLEM is that the second I would do this… I’d have 5 new things before the end of the next day. 🫠 Enter: the family virtual assistant. Someone else who can constantly be available to my family (for as little as 5hrs/wk) to just constantly be doing the stuff that lives in my brain & on my to/do list, so I can focus on time with my family. One of the first systems every Virtual Assistant should set up is a client tracker. It can be a simple spreadsheet. Track things like:• client name• service• deadlines• invoices• payment status Clients trust organised people.
