Kaiser workers continue to strike because Kaiser has not fairly come to the table. Instead of investing its resources into patient care and worker conditions Kaiser has been investing that money into GeoGroup and CoreCivic. Our healthcare, which is subsidized by our tax dollars, should not be further funding these inhumane private detention centers that are denying people health care. Jose, a union steward, draws the connections between their struggle and the onslaught of ICE in our communities by paying respects to Alex Pretti who ICE agents brutally murdered while he protected his community. I stand with the striking workers in their demands.
