March 3rd 2026 fresh powder and blue skies for our first hut to hut trip of the season. Needless to say the Uintas tend to embrace us in good fortune and we are more than happy to get to share it with this fantastic couple who are the first clients to do two hut to hut trips!!!
After coming out with us for an epic April storm cycle and hut to hut trip they returned for 2026 and they brought the snow and sun for a new route and more high fives, pow turns and yahoos!!!

3 days 2 nights at the Castle Peak Yurt with the crew from @jettyextracts hunting out the soft snow, hitting the sauna, and brapping around the mountains.
Yes, winter has been strange this year here in Utah. And YES we are still providing super fun days and trip in the mountains.
Best part of backcountry hut trips are all the things. The yurt, the sledding, the views, the tours, and if we get some soft snow that can be the icing on the cake!

This past weekend we spent 3 days and 2 nights ski touring in the Tushar Mountains and winter FINALLY showed up!
Deep powder. Big lines. Glowing sunsets. High alpine peaks. Cold mornings.

Not every backcountry day needs to be legendary.
Sometimes the snow isn’t perfect.

We watched the sun, tried to time the corn cycle right, and honestly didn’t expect much.
But good turns + good friends + a bluebird day?
That’s enough.
