BrighterMonday Uganda was pleased to partner with AmCham Uganda for the Annual Women’s Day Forum, held on March 5, 2026, at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel. This high-level engagement focused on the thematic area: "Women in the Creative Economy: Navigating Opportunities and Structural Barriers." A primary objective of the forum was the formal unveiling of the BrighterMonday Uganda research report, "Women in Blue-Collar Labour Markets." Presented by CEO Xenia Wachira, the report provides a data-driven analysis of the systemic challenges facing women in technical sectors, including limited access to capital and persistent workplace biases. Our participation underscores BrighterMonday’s commitment to bridging the national skills gap and transitioning from traditional recruitment to a sophisticated "skills-matching" ecosystem #EconomicInclusion #CorporateResponsibility #GenKazi

Today I had the privilege of attending the GIBS International Women’s Day Breakfast. Even though I’m not a GIBS alumna yet, being in that room was such an insightful and meaningful experience for me. The theme of the conversation was “Beyond Representation: Investing in Women to Shape Leadership and Future Ready Institutions.” Listening to leaders like Mam Nolitha Fakude, Jorja Wilson & Shameela Soobramoney share their journeys and perspectives on women in leadership, sustainability in corporate spaces, and the importance of lifting each other up was incredibly powerful. What stayed with me most is that conversations like these don’t just leave you inspired they leave you with more questions, more curiosity, and an even deeper desire to learn. In many ways, I realised that I am one of the women these conversations are helping to create the future for. Yoh Modimo… what a powerful room to be in today. 🥹✨

Economic Sovereignty in Africa is no longer a conversation of theory, it is a strategic imperative. At the Graduate School of Business , University of Cape Town, we unpacked how Africa moves from participation to ownership, from extraction to value creation. We explored this economic sovereignty as Africa's next frontier and who better to listen to are the experts like Nyimpini Mabunda ( Chairperson , Schindler Lifts South Africa), Zaffy Loots ( Group Head Strategy, South African Reserve Bank), Chika Ekeji , CFO , West and Central Africa, MTN Group) , Lesley Donna Williams , founder of Africa's first Impact Hub . my dear friend @mantombi.makhubele Alumni Relations Manager @uctgraduateschoolofbusiness for bringing is together on such a strategic conversation! And when you get to connect with such great minds... what next? take the networks to connections #leadlikewomen #entrepreneur #economicsovereignty #africa #katiemohamed
Day 1 of the Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women: Black in Business program with NYU Stern School of Business was nothing short of amazing. Every detail was top tier. The room was filled with brilliance, vision, and purpose. I met incredible women who are building, leading, and showing up unapologetically. But what stood out the most were the pillars that will carry us forward: Mindset Shift Transformation Action Plan And through it all, one message echoed loud and clear… We were chosen for this room. We were chosen for this season. We were chosen for what’s next. I’m walking into this experience with an open heart, a ready mind, and the expectation to grow, stretch, and elevate. This is just the beginning. #BIB #blackinbusiness #goldmansachs #nyustern
